Armor Screen protects the Fasano Shelter
The first structure in the United States designed to meet the strict ICC 500 is protected by Armor Screen.  The FASANO SHELTER , will protect 1000 persons as a shelter and is a health care clinic other times.  The structure also is the first county building to win certification from the US Green Building Council’s LEED Program.

Hurricane Shutters

Armor Screen hurricane protection has passed the new ICC-500 (International Code Council & National Storm Shelter Association) large missile impact test being instituted for public shelters.  The ICC-500 large missile impact test can reach forces 12x the current Miami-Dade (HVHZ) large missile standard. Armor Screen hurricane protection was able to achieve this level of hurricane protection,  while maintaining transparency and other benefits.  Armor Screen hurricane protection was requested to test to this standard of hurricane shutters for a specific Florida shelter.  Without incorporation of Armor Screen hurricane protection into the shelter, it would not have had windows or natural light.
